To help with the look-a-like contest, today's update is a look at how I draw my characters. If you haven't yet, be sure to check out the great entries in the contest! |
I'm often asked how I create the comic, so as a bit of a change, I thought I'd show you some of my preliminary drawings from one of my sketchbooks. This page shows my layout from one of my favorite threads, the TTB/Martha Stewart battle sequences... |

Once I sketch out a preliminary layout, I move to the digital domain using my Mac. I do most of the work in Illustrator and Photoshop, then move to Fireworks for the text and exporting to web formats. (Of course, a lot of things may change by the time I finish up!) You can see the final results here... the Dawn comic, the Fawn comic. |

After Y2K is a frightfully funny look at what might happen if the Millennium Bug bites hard! Created by Nitrozac, it follows the hapless exploits of a perhaps-slightly-over-paranoid geek as he and his friends seek to come to terms with the legacy of careless coding. The setting: the days and months after January 1st, 2000... all computers, high technology, and most electricity is gone... civilization as Geeks know it has collapsed! |
